Bradyn and his brothers run a search and rescue for those in danger from their ranch in a small town in Texas. Kennedy is on the run from powerful and dangerous individuals. When troubling things start happening, the family rallies around Kennedy as they have gotten to know her and her true nature shines through. The Hunt family, Bradyn specifically, help Kennedy - even after discovering she was hiding her past and identity. Even when the danger arrives on their doorstep, the family does not back away from helping her. The pull Kennedy and Bradyn feel for each other is stronger than the forces pushing them apart and Kennedy slowly begins to rediscover God as they read Bible passages together to help them through darker times. As things appear at their worst, Kennedy retains her faith in Bradyn and her rekindling faith in God.
I absolutely loved reading this. Jessica’s Christian books just get better and better. Fast paced, faith filled read that you will not be disappointed in! Highly recommend.
Neither my Kindle nor my Apple Books list you as an authoer I've purchased from.
4.5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Struggling to understand why God let things happen? Ever went through something and wonder WHY you and/or others go through difficult times? Well, this is a sign for you to pick this book up!
Oh boy, where do I start? Every single time I am shocked about how UNIQUE Jessica’s books are! Each book is so different and to this point I don’t know what to expect. Her stories and each character have their own unique story, I mean the PLOT TWIST just WOW. Like is that even possible - to have all different stories and characters and then bring them all together. *Chefs kiss*
Silas, to the majority of people, was one of us at some point. We wondered, why there is so much violence, poverty, injustice around the world and why is God letting all of that happened. Why could there not be a perfect world free of all that? Why, if God really loved us, are children suffering? Does God even exist?
Yes, He does exist and He loves us so much that He gave us FREE WILL. He didn’t want us to be robots and be programmed to do things in certain ways without feeling anything - without having a purpose. Perilous Healing will explain and give you more insight and understanding if you are or once been a Silas. You are not alone.
Also, I loved how Jessica introduced the Hunt Brothers! (Currently reading and loving Bradyn and I know you all will too) see! Everything is interconnected that’s why you’ll love her books even more!
The reason that I chose 4.5 stars is because I felt like I needed more of Bianca’s relationship with God, for example, she kept reading the Bible and praying but I felt like her faith was sudden and as someone who read the Bible several times, I still struggled with strengthening my faith so I felt like if we had more of her daily routine with God then it would inspire others aka non believers to really understand and develop their faith.
Nonetheless, perfect as all of Ashley’s books are :)
*I wished I had read it sooner but finals and homework were piling up :(
Bradyn is a strong character, in mind, body, and spirit. His faith in God is the foundation of his life and he has a wonderful bond with his family, which are aspects that I liked. Kennedy’s life has been almost destroyed by others’ greed, and her faith is nearly gone; how could God allow these things to happen? Bradyn’s desire is to keep her safe and lead her back to God.
Their lives are in constant danger from an unknown enemy, which definitely kept me turning the pages. Their attraction is fairly instant, but their love grows over their time together. They get a HEA with an unexpected development for Kennedy.
I enjoyed the story; it is clean and has a strong spiritual base. The writing style is easy to read and the plot flows together very well. I received a complimentary copy from the author and these are my voluntary and honest opinions. I was not required to leave a positive review.
Jessica Ashley took me on an adventure! I read all of the books in the series and cannot wait for the next two to come out. They are well written and will keep you on the edge of your seat!
