I could not put this book down! I read way too late two nights in a row to finish this book and I regret none of it! This no spice Christian romantic suspense hit all of the right notes for me. A second chance romance with such pain and grief in their pasts. This SEAL veteran turned cowboy is helping out the mother of the love of his life. When she returns and finds him there - there are definite sparks - both good and bad. When danger rears its head we are plunged into a web that has such connections and breadth it stunned me. I didn’t see it coming. This book was intense and had so many great moments focusing on faith, our worth, forgiveness, family, found family, and more. I didn’t want to put this book down and cannot wait for more! The romance is just kisses, with a fade-to-black mention of the past. The intimacy is level 2.
